The people behind CHONe

With a Board of Directors, a Science Advisory Committeeresearchers and students from across Canada, the Canadian Healthy Oceans Network (CHONe) is a university-government partnership, launched in 2008, focused on the conservation and sustainable use of Canada’s oceans. Through three interrelated themes: Marine Biodiversity, Population Connectivity, and Ecosystem Function, as they relate to the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic oceans from the intertidal to the deep ocean, the network relies on biodiversity science to aid in the development of policy and sound practices.
